Toxi·City by Roderick Coover and Scott Rettberg is a recombinatory climate change narrative film focused on six characters whose lives have been transformed by sea-level change and flooding in the industrialized region of the Delaware River Estuary. Fictional testimonies are set against actual accounts of deaths that occurred during Hurricane Sandy in this feature-length generative project.

The Last Volcano
In The Last Volcano tells a story of a catastrophic volcanic eruption and its aftermath is narrated by a Norwegian woman. As the narrative cycles a second time, the woman’s husband attempts to interrupt, questioning the disturbing history and trying to place it in historical time. The story references events of the distant past, but its setting and telling raise anxieties related to contemporary cycles of memory and forgetting.

Rats and Cats:: Katter og rotter, an international Skype date between an American epidemiologist and a Norwegian goes terribly wrong as it veers toward histories of the black death. A cross-lingual story of miscommunication and translation between catastrophes of the past and the present.
